We are very proud of our top modern yerba mate growery, which produces the finest and most caffeine rich yerba mate leaves there is to find.
High powered wide spectrum light emitting diode (LED) lights are used to boost the growing throughout the whole process. Our yerba mate growings have been assessed in greenhouse trials to make sure the plants have higher quality in biomass and biochemical ingredients comparable with field conditions. Plant performance were measured by assessing caffeine level but also health and vigor of plants and success in promoting growth.
LEDs have efficient electric lighting with desired wavelengths (red+blue) which support greenhouse production in a minimum time and with high quality and quantity. As LEDs are cool it helps yerba plants to be placed as close as possible to light sources without overheating or scorching. This saves space for intense cultivation.
Our yerba mate plants are grown using hydroponics, which is a method of growing plants without soil, by instead using mineral nutrient solutions in a water solvent. Themate plants are grown with only their roots exposed to the nutritious liquid.
The nutrients used in our hydroponic system primarily come from duck manure and artificial nutrient solutions.
